Construction in Deer Park on CHAS Health’s North County Clinic started December of 2020 and is scheduled to be complete by October of this year. We have just finished Phase 1, which includes a new addition currently being used as a temporary space for pharmacy and patient services coordination. The temporary space will function for 8-9 weeks. Completion of the project will result in a brand-new lobby, a larger pharmacy, and the patient entrance will return to business as usual.
More Room to Serve the Community
North County Clinic is expanding the number of exam rooms, gaining more community areas that can be used for ancillary staff such as Behavioral Health providers, Dietitians, and Pharmacists to consult with patients. The waiting room will be expanded, and a second lobby and check-in area will be added upstairs for Dental services. These improvements will allow for additional providers to see patients at the clinic.
Much of the construction is driven to improve the clinic’s HVAC system, including the addition of negative pressure room designs. Beyond improved ventilation, employees will enjoy a larger breakroom and new call center accommodations.
