When your primary care provider is not available, urgent care clinics provide care for non-life-threatening medical problems or situations that could become worse if you wait. Urgent care clinics provide walk-in appointments and are often open 7 days a week with extended hours. Spokane Urgent Care – North and Spokane Urgent Care – Valley are open 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday and 8am – 5pm Saturday and Sunday. You do not need to be a CHAS Health patient to utilize Spokane Urgent Care.
When your primary healthcare provider is not available, you should seek an urgent care for common illnesses and minor injuries such as:
- Colds
- Flu
- Earaches
- Sore throats
- Migraines
- Fever
- Rashes
- Sprains
- Back pain
- Minor cuts and burns
- Minor broken bones
- Minor eye injuries
When you can’t physically get to an Urgent Care location, CHAS Health video visits for urgent care connect you to a CHAS Health urgent care provider at your convenience. You can select an appointment in as soon as 30 minutes and have a video visit using your smartphone or computer.
Video visits are part of a larger telehealth offering for CHAS Health, and our primary care providers also offer video visits. If you have already established care with a CHAS Health primary care provider, please call your clinic to schedule a video visit just like you would for an in-person visit.
Before signing up for an urgent care video visit, verify that you do not have a condition listed below that requires an in-person visit:
- Bodily injury
- Eye injury
- Sexually transmitted infection (STI)
- Ear pain
- New abdominal pain
- Abscess
- Labor & Industries (L&I) visit
Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room if you are experiencing:
- Chest pain
- Severe abdominal pain
- Coughing or vomiting blood
- Severe burns
- Deep cuts or bleeding that won’t stop
- Sudden blurred vision
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- Sudden dizziness, weakness, or loss of coordination or balance
- Numbness in the face, arm, or leg
- Sudden, severe headache (not a migraine)
- Seizures
- High fevers
- Any other condition you believe is life-threatening
If you are still unsure where or how best to seek treatment, CHAS Health provides a nurse triage line to help. Patients are encouraged to call (509) 444-8200 during clinic hours to seek medical advice. After hours, we provide a Nurse Advice hotline at (866) 418-1002. A nurse will offer suggestions regarding when and where to seek care.
