As a Community Health Center, CHAS Health’s mission is to improve the overall health of the communities we serve by expanding access to quality health and wellness services. We understand that a healthy community is more than a location on a map with high immunization rates and easy access to care. Healthy communities are built on partnership, relationships and shared action. CHAS Health sponsors organizations and events enriching to our region and our employees, who support the health of our communities at our day jobs, also volunteer to reinforce the health of our region as a larger organism beyond the betterment of a single individual.
Latah Recovery Festival

Unity in the Community
On August 12th, CHAS Health was a sponsor for the Unity in the Community Event. CHAS Health was the Career and job fair Sponsor; our CHAS Health team members had a great time representing CHAS Health!
Palousefest 2023
CHAS Health recently attended Palousefest in Moscow, ID to welcome new students, returning students, and community members back to the University of Idaho campus.
Gritman Medical Center’s Teddy Bear Clinic
CHAS Health recently attended the Gritman Medical Center’s Teddy Bear Clinic. The free event includes activities to help children learn about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in a fun and educational way. We were thrilled to connect with the Latah community while participating in the free event!
SFCC Career Fair
CHAS recently attended the SFCC career fair! Our staff had a great time interacting with students and chatting with them about a future career with CHAS Health!
Deer Park Career Fair
CHAS Health recently attended the Deer Park High School Career Fair! It was one of the largest events for the students since the pandemic, and they were super excited to connect with a variety of local businesses for opportunities beyond high school.
Lewis & Clark HS Multicultural Fair
On Friday, March 24th, we participated in a Multicultural Fair at Lewis and Clark High School. It made for a great time to share with the students about CHAS Health, Career Paths as well as our Student Clerk positions and celebrate the diverse Lewis and Clark community. We interacted with roughly 180 people from families with students in their English Language Development Program including feeder schools (Roosevelt Elementary, Grant Elementary, Sacajawea Middle School, and Lewis and Clark High School).

FUSE Career Fair
For 25 years, Eastern Washington University, Gonzaga University, Washington State University Spokane and Whitworth University have partnered to provide employers with an opportunity to meet with over 700 students from more than 120 bachelors, masters and doctoral programs in one location in Spokane, Washington. CHAS Health was proud to attend and speak with students about a career in community health.
CHAS at GirlCon 2023
CHAS Health was honored to attend GirlCon 2023. Our staff met the CEO of Girl Scouts, and he mentioned that this is the largest event they’ve had for this age group since 2019 so they were very grateful! This one-day event invited girls from ages 12-18 to learn from women professionals across our region. The presenters discussed their career choices and the pathways they took to get there. Our very own Felicia Diamond was a guest speaker that spoke about our apprenticeship opportunities!
University of Idaho Springs Career Fair
Members of the Workforce team Taylor and Nicole attended the University of Idaho Spring Career fair. They were excited to connect with students who will be graduating soon and share what CHAS Health does for our north and south community and their health.
Glover Middle School Family Night
Dana Peterson had the opportunity to connect with dozens of families and students. We were excited to hand out swag and share all the ways that CHAS can support students as they grow!
WSU Homeless Simulation
Our Patient Resource Coordinators so enjoyed the opportunity to explain to WSU students the services and resources that CHAS Health offers to those experiencing homelessness. Students asked great questions and had great ideas – we can’t wait to see how they use these skills in our community.
Lewiston Pumkin Palooza Success!
The 12th annual Pumpkin Palooza in Lewiston was held on October 29th. CHAZZY, made his first big public appearance in the SoCHAS area and was a huge hit. The fall festival was open to all ages and featured vendors, games, crafts, costume contests, and a pumpkin roll. With over 500 kiddos who came to the CHAS booth, CHAZZY left them smiling.
Pumpkin Lane 2022
CHAS Health was thrilled to hand out candy at our North County Clinic during Pumpkin Lane! This annual event is a great time to admire community members’ costumes and connect with our patients outside of the clinic!
Next Greatest Generation Career Expo
Our talent acquisition and Learning and Development team staffed the booth at the Next Greatest Generation College & Career Expo at the Spokane Fair Grounds. The teams saw about 1,000 students from the Spokane area discuss CHAS Health career options.
Sunset Elementary Sports Physicals
Recently the School Supports Program was able to host a Sports Physical event in the Cheney School District at Sunset Elementary. The Cheney Clinic Dream Team of Alyssa Egland, Shyann Linafelter and Meghan Sorenson came together and provided this service to kiddos who were in need.
Joya Fun Run & Fair
Chazzy attended the Joya fun run and Family community fair on Sept. 17th. The Joya Fun Run raises funds for children with developmental delays and disabilities. Chazzy had a great meeting all the families and children who participated.
CHAS at ValleyFest!
CHAS Health attended ValleyFest 2022 and connected with attendees to share our mission! We had a great time handing out free merch and letting the public know how they can be connected to medical/dental/behavioral health services in their area!
Manzanita House Sports Physicals
Recently an incredible team was assembled to serve our amazing community by providing sports physicals to a group of kiddos who were in need. We were able to serve students from the following schools/districts: North Central High School, Shadle Park High School, Ferris High School, Shaw Middle School, Salk Middle School, Glover Middle School, Greenacres Middle School, Bowdish Middle School, the Cheney School District Ridgeline High School (Liberty Lake), West Valley High School and Centennial Middle School! Such an amazing group of people doing amazing work! Well done!!
